Like I mentioned already before, in fireplace wall unit, while talking about video and entertainment related furnishing, custom furniture because of the fact that this technology is more and more fordable and more easily accessible… Entertainment furniture is on fire and this exclusive pace is no exception. Custom designed and build, lacquered walnut, audio / video equipment cabinet with CNC sculptured and painted MDF door panels inspired by sound wave illustrations. This 82″ long and 32″ high audio cabinet is fully perforated through every single gable, shelf and back panel for absolute air circulation to prevent audio & video equipment heat build-up and to maximize the audio & video equipment performance. Left portion is fully dedicated to equipotent where the whole right half of the cabinet can store up to 500 cds in pull-out, heavy duty drawers.

Russian Baltic birch Plywood is one of my most favorite materials. Pure, affordable, Eco friendly, easy to work with and very urban looking. Most of my jobs evolve around plywood these days and price point of products made of plywood is just great. Challenge here was to create a CNC machinable, affordable and cool looking enough plywood chair, to grab attention of anyone who is interested in contemporary furnishing. Flat packaged, easy to use, simplistic 3 leg plywood chair requires minimal hardware and just few minutes to assemble. I like Baltic birch plywood just raw with no chemical finishing but it can be easily lacquerer finished or stained / color matched fairly easily by anyone.

Well no doubt you want to compliment your latest toys with something nice that will not only suite your interior but fit it like a glow. This latest fireplace build in is no exception. Originally brought to us by interior decorator Marcia Boule, this built-in makes it an perfect example how smart design, little bit of painted MDF and lighting can trasform your boring, old fireplace wall in to a rich and breathtaking room full of character and sophistication. Kitchens are called the hearth of the home. I have created this Toronto kitchen design as welcoming, cozy and pleasure to work in, as posible. It is a vintage country style kitchen with traditional features such as shaker style cabinet doors.

Small seating and eating area with barstools and open corner shelves give this kitchen slightly modern feeling. Green, ceramic tile backsplash contrasts with the blue glass-doored cabinets. Comfortable and slip resistant hardwood floor was the best choice to use in the kitchen.

3D layout of the room is great tool to maximalize the space and for better client visualization of the room. Decorative items such as art, cookbooks, pottery and flowers give the kitchen personal touch.

3D rendering assure me that the color scheme was used wisely. The blue colors of kitchen cabinets in combination with light brown walls and green backsplash maximize the amount of light and keeping the country style kitchen clean and fresh.

In this particular job I had to considering size, style and budget. I had to made a simple TV stand that can store CD, DVD and games, plus at the same time be suitable for contemporary Toronto condo, finished basement or cool teen bedroom.

In most design scenarios, only contrasting combination of colors, like in this case for example, red, black and white could fulfill the need for very modern style. Strong, straight and clean lines can make this TV stand looking elegant plus be functional at the same time and  store all audio-video equipment or game console.

Client received couple of options and after all I think overall design with this color combination came out very nice, functional and stylish. This TV stand is not only affordable but also attractive and pretty good solution for clutter-free living.

Coming from commercial, custom mill-work field, always give our designs more realistic and up to scale appeal and this conceptual reception desk for Toronto client is no exception.

the challenge here was to accommodate comfortably two people behind the desk and make it look modern enough within the given budget and functional at the same time.

the high contrast of black and white high gloss finishing materials in this rendering, with combination of chrome posts, supporting the whole upper part of this reception desk should bring enough attention to this peace and appropriately represent its company.

Another low budget, modern wall unit with crown molding that was done bu us upon request from our existing Toronto client in a need for modern yet functional wall entertainment / wall unit from natural wood in combination with light brown laminated surfaces matching his existing interior color scheme.

Even if I’m used to do my sketching by hand, this time I choose to do the first sketch in 3D and in black and white, to save time and just to get a feel of scale and have the client to critique it.

After my first preliminary sketch went back and forward couple of times  with client the design went to the process of detailing it in more details and texturing for better understanding of colors and finish. Having my sketch 3D modeled and detailed is also necessary for final layout drawings with dimensions for approval.

Most of my designs includes 3D photo realistic rendering as standard feature that is included with drawings for better client visualization and full confidence of what’s going to be manufactured for him.

Last week I was in touch with Toronto interior designer Laura Hay. She was in need of a custom 7ft free standing dry bar for one of her interior design projects. Dry bars are not a very common furniture item. These bars are different from wet bars because they do not have sink with running water and can be placed anywhere because of the lack of need for this access. Laura’s material choice for this furniture piece was somewhat unusual from the beginning I thought but once I put her sketches into a 3-D view the combination of the back-lit onyx stone countertop, the chrome foot rail, the leather upholstery and dark-wood  worked to create a very striking and original piece that I’m happy to share with you.
