Once on the video call, we can talk about the millwork or piece of furniture that you have in mind. Show us your hand sketches and we will draw in 3D your custom furniture for you, along the live video call meeting.
2. Custom furniture design, through screen-sharing.
While we are creating your custom furniture in 3D, you are going to see how it’s going to look like and you get accurate measurements.
If something doesn’t look right in the 3D model, we can make changes right then and there. We can play with endless variations and possibilities with your design ideas.
You will need to install TeamViewer, that is a popular software used for Internet-based screen sharing and support. TeamViewer software can connect to any PC so you can see our screen as if you were sitting right in front of it.

You will never have to carry around with you design draft papers, sketchbooks, data sheets or spec sheets. You can always have them printed from the files you have in the cloud. This way, they will never be lost or damaged.
Since all your files are in digital form, you can easily go back and forward through the different revisions in your custom furniture design. They are automatically saved for you. If you decide to follow a design idea and didn’t like it in the end, simply go back to a previous revision and start over. All it takes is a few clicks of the mouse. Every change that you make in your design process are saved in digital format.

As part of our custom furniture design service, we will provide material nesting and optimization, as well as easy-to-read cost estimates.
We have been successfully designing custom furniture with Sketchup, for more than 10 years. SketchUp makes it easy for you and your fabricator to explore the project in 3D space. This makes it easy for you to explore design possibilities and see how they are going to look like or cost.
You can then use these custom furniture 3D models with your prospective millwork shop or contractor when pricing your project. Your digital, project files can be saved from Sketchup in a most popular file formats, that everyone involved in the project can use.
Material nesting & optimizing
Material nesting and optimization refers to the process of laying out cutting patterns to minimize raw material waste. Examples include manufacturing parts from flat raw material such as wood or sheet metal.
The 3D model we’ll create for you will include material nesting. This way, we can give you a detailed estimate of costs that you can use when looking for a millwork shop or contractor to work with.
Easy-to-read cost estimates
After we have all of your materials nested and optimized, we will provide you with cost estimates in an easy to read format. You can use our estimates to shop for mill-work or to compare price for the materials that you will need for your project.
